3 excursion tips in the full bloom and splendor of nature:
Discovery Trail Biological Diversity near Rövershagen The starting point is the car park at the Köhlerhof, from where the path starts. The path leads couples through varied landscapes and provides information about the region's rich flora and fauna at various stations. Here you can discover native plant and animal species, learn more about the ecological importance of biodiversity and experience nature consciously and intensively.
Port of Dändorf: The harbor is located near Dierhagen on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, directly on the Saaler Bodden. Here you can buy freshly caught fish and enjoy the maritime atmosphere. You can also start boat tours from here. Walks along the harbor promenade offer couples picturesque views of the boats and the surrounding nature.
Hike from Schnatermann to Markgrafenheider Strand: The hike is an idyllic excursion through the varied landscape of the Rostock Heath. The starting point is the Schnatermann, a popular place with gastronomic offerings and a small harbor. On the adjacent wide river you have a unique view of Rostock from the other side of the Warnow. The hiking trail leads couples through dense forests and past moors. Along the way there are beautiful views of the wet meadows, where with a little luck you can also see water buffalo in spring and summer. At the destination, the Markgrafenheider beach, a wide sandy beach awaits you, inviting you to relax and swim. From here you can take the bus back to the starting point of the hike or directly to Graal-Müritz.

Rosenort captivates with its pristine coastal landscape and wide dunes, which invite you to take romantic walks. In both areas you have excellent opportunities for bird watching.
Heiligensee near Markgrafenheide: The Heiligensee near Markgrafenheide is an idyllic natural paradise: directly behind the dunes and in front of the coastal forest, the lake lies on a large pasture area. The nature discovery trail with a viewing tower offers impressive views over the lake and the coastal meadows. As an important bird breeding area, it is ideal for observation, especially during the breeding and migration periods. Well-signposted hiking trails lead through the landscape of the Rostock Heath. The Heiligensee offers peace and relaxation in the midst of untouched nature.
Peat cutting in the moor near Neuhaus: Located east of Graal-Müritz, this is a fascinating example of the remains of former peat mining in the middle of the Ribnitz Moor. Today, the former pits are filled with water and form picturesque lakes surrounded by dense vegetation. The area is also an important bird breeding area. Here you can experience picturesque hikes and walks through the quiet, unspoilt landscape.

Rostock: A day trip to the largest city in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania offers couples a mixture of culture, history and modernity. The historic old town impresses with its Gothic brick buildings and lively market square. Directly adjacent, you can go shopping together on Kröpeliner Strasse, the popular shopping mile. To end the day, we recommend a walk along the city harbor. Here you will find many restaurants with a view over the Warnow and the sunset.
Warnemünde: The seaside resort of Warnemünde has the widest stretch of beach of all Baltic countries from the shore to the dunes – ideal for long walks and a romantic sunset. The best way to get there is by car. Excursion ship MS Baltica from the Graal-Müritz pier. Once you arrive in Warnemünde, historic fishermen's houses await you on the old river. The traditional town center can be reached in about 5 minutes. Enjoy the view of the region's coast from the Warnemünde lighthouse or the West Mole.

We stayed at the Akzent Hotel as a family. We liked our family room; the hotel is quiet and modern. The location, practically right on the beach, is fantastic! It's a shame the restaurant's kitchen is only open until 20 p.m.! There's no bar as such, either; the restaurant description is a bit confusing! And it's also a shame that you have to plan your sauna visit and notify reception in advance; spontaneous bookings aren't possible. Overall, we felt comfortable, but the price is quite ambitious, and we missed a few things (e.g., playing cards with the kids in the bar in the evening...).

The hotel is very nice and well located near the pier. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and modern. There's a library with good books and games. The breakfast buffet is small, and the selection isn't very extensive. For a 4* hotel, I would have expected a bit more. But you can find something to eat and you'll be satisfied. Otherwise, everything was good, from arrival to departure.
